Let me tell you about one thing I can’t stand; marijuana. I used to be okay with it, enjoyed it, had some fun times with  it, gained a couple of pounds from it, all in all made some boring times a little less boring. And there is my problem with it. It’s not a drug that should make all the potheads happy. Go ahead and legalize it. Just so I don’t have to see another rally of people dressed in hemp pants out my window anymore. It’s not a drug. Stop letting people pretend it is. That’s the problem with marijuana not being legalized it lets bland people think they are doing something illicit. Poor potheads stuck outside the system letting them think they are rebels. Every pothead can’t help but tell me it should be legalized; what kind of rebel wants to be let in. People without enough creativity to find a new drug; you’re fighting your parent’s battle. Being a pothead is the equivalent to buying a house in the suburbs.

    And this is why I’ve tired of them and want to take away there one last complaint. These people want to go buy drugs at Wal-Mart. Yeah, I can’t wait. I’m not condoning drugs use but if you’re going to do it, do it right. I got plenty of problems with all the other drugs and what they do to people. But at least they’re out there doing something a little different. They resist being ostracized. You aren’t going to exactly invite the cokehead neighbor to your next family party. But the pothead he gets’s a free pass. Because it’s harmless. What’s the best side effect marijuana gives you makes everything little a better; it doesn’t change your perspective, or making something boring truly interesting. Say what you will about acid if you’re on it you can’t really be doing anything else.  It’s the main course. Marijuana is just the parsley on a plate. It adds to the taste but it doesn’t really change much.

    So besides always having to listen to them spew about legalization I have to listen to there crappy music taste. What’s the best music pot has every come up Bob Marley. While I’m not here to debate the merits of Bob Marley I will say his music is at its best in small doses.  Say what you will about heroin it sure has helped m record collection. Heavy drug usually brings out some pretty decent music for a while then the artist usually burnout. But thanks to the bland merits of pot Jimmy Buffett career goes on and on. Really people!  Give me the Velvet Underground, or Tom Waits. Pot is never the inspiration it’s what you do to take the edge off the real inspiration. And in the end I want to reiterate drugs have messed up a lot of people and families and many people face years staring down their addictions. And for this reason alone we have to make pot legal because it takes away from people who have suffered real tragedies from real drugs. No more of this weak stuff.
